It Goes Like This, The Fourth, The Fifth

So I originally wore this just as a tank dress under the blazer, but it was so cold I had to buy a sweater when I was out. And by "had" I mean that I have a serious shopping problem and couldn't pass up sale Gap sweaters. Normally I'm not a Gap person, but since everyone on the cover of Vogue Paris is wearing it I decided to pop in while waiting for my mother. We both wound up getting a ton of stuff! I bought a jacket that I love more than... well the other million jackets that I own, a post is definitely coming soon!

When we started this blog I had short blonde hair. This was my hair up until January 17, 2010. I just wanted to show how my hair was since it was soooo long and I'm getting a bit distraught. Yes, it looks TOO long in this picture, but I usually had the blunt bangs going across and I think it looked great..

And I kind of feel like I'm never going to get back to this length. Its going to take yearssss.

A better picture of my NEW hair. I love the color, but I still miss the blonde. Yesterday my dad informed me that the cut was a bit Soccer Mom, which I knew but was a bit upsetting to hear from someone else all the same. Rocking some earrings from Macy's - which brings me to the last two pictures. I went earring shopping in Macy's again today. Happy Face.

I am completely in LOVE with these, they are a bit ghetto and a bit disco-y at the same time. Totally awesome. Although they definitely require a low cut shirt or else a tube top since they are so dramatic.

Far less dramatic and kinda bland. I realized I have very little gold and decided these were a sound investment due to the length and neutral navy.

I also got a dress today which I'm planning to wear with my new "most awesome jacket EVER" so stay tuned!

Rumaging in the Attic

So I recently found out that I got into the study abroad in Greece program that I had applied to! Not only will I be traveling all over Europe for a month this summer, but I will also be taking classes in Athens for one month too! Needless to say, I am rather excited!
So,
When I was home recently, I was searching our attic with my mom for a backpack I could bring with me on my trips. Among the heaps of old costume clothes and hats and old stuff, I spotted this inside of a suitcase my mom was searching through. I eyed it up and she said she never uses it so I could take it. I love the structure of this brown leather bag.
I love finding old things in strange places and giving them new homes!

Back From the Dead

So I got sick last Friday and just recently have started to feel better (I was still pretty off earlier this week). So here are a couple outfits from the last couple of days:

If you notice the heaps of clothes and papers to my left, they are works in progress; I am currently working on alot of sewing and collage project.
ALSO!
I think it is time you all met my little fishy Charlie:

Isn't he cute?
He's my first pet in college. I kinda love my little Charlie-fish.
He resembles Coll's tattoo on her ankle as well! check it out!

A Mash-Up Of Things

Here it is! The last picture ever taken of me blond. I don't know what exactly I was doing, and I had to crop some friends out of this picture.. but its not awful. I had two pairs of tights on because it was cold, thats why my legs are soo shiny fyi.

Additionally, she cut at least an inch off my hair. For a trim. What the heck? Its a little soccer mom - bob but oh well it too shall pass eventually. My grandma begged me this weekend to dye it black so here it is! Lucky I love her because I wouldn't have done it for anyone else.

These are just a few green pieced I picked up this past week with Steph. Additionally I bought a green nail polish and a green jumper dress (which is really cute but I didn't snap a pic the day I wore it). There has been a lag in posts because I got really sick this weekend. I think I'm going to lay off the going out until after finals.

I promise when I have more time I will figure out why the picture quality is so bad.

Hey There Bangs, I Have Missed You

So a few weeks ago, I started noticing my bangs were misbehaving. They would go all over the place, give me unusual cowlicks, not straighten properly...it was a mess. To give my hair a break, i decided to switch the side I part my hair on for awhile; this resulted in alot of pinning back my hair and wearing it up. I started to get sick of it, so decided to switch my part back to normal and my bangs are behaving much better now!
Also, I have started to realize that I really need a new straightening iron. After dying my hair numerous times, it is rather dry and straightening it often doesn't help much. I wanted to get one that would not damage my hair as much, so I was THRILLED when I saw this giveaway on http://www.finaforever.com/. I follow her blog and love her great sense of style. Definitely worth checking out!
Oh lovely Misikko straightener, how I would love to own you!

It's Actually Very Easy Being Green

Meet my new favorite shoes. Oh Modcloth, how I love your shoes!
So,
I have worn them quite a few times since I received them in the mail last week. Here are three variations:
Shorts and shirt: Forever21
Heels: Modcloth
Skirt and sweater: Delias from forever ago
Shirt: Forever21
Tights: Urban Outfitters
Heels: Modcloth

Dress: thrifted and hemmed
Tights: Urban Outfitters
Belt: thrifted
Heels: Modcloth

So this dress is actually the first before and after I can show you. I found it at my local Salvation Army. It was really long, so I cut and hemmed it and wore it backwards to obtain a new cut with buttons down the front.
I adore this floral fabric.

AND these shoes happen to be very comfortable to walk in so I was actually able to wear them to class. I have had an urge to dress up lately. Must be the weather.

Channeling Melrose Place

So not exactly the prettiest picture of my face, hello lazy eye! But this necklace is one of my favorites. I love the way the heavy chain looks with pretty things.

This is the fabric of my skirt which is awesome and has an exposed zipper in the back. I probably could have done with a size smaller but I was in a buying not trying mood that day

Skirt: Urban
Shoes: Urban
Top: Old Navy
Black Tank: Target
Necklace: Macys

This is my channeling Ella Sims on Melrose Place outfit (minus her 4inch heels). Its a bit dressy for the library, but I'll bring a cardigan and I'm sure it will all be okay. Anyways, I'm really upset that Melrose Place stillll has not been renewed for another season! Its one of my favorite shows. Alright I must dash to work now. Today is my 11-9 day, woo hoo.
